My IDT 285 Class in Spring 2009: This course is about technology standard for pre-service teachers. This Blos is set up for IDT 285 Students as a reference for Blog 1 and Blog 2 activities in Module 4.

I really like this idea of using cell phones instead of the clickers. The clickers cost alot of money that college students do not have. Everyone has a cell phone it would not necessarily be used for texting in a classroom. Cell phones are not dangerous to have in a classroom! A student is not going to not have a cell phone on them.
Using cell phones is a good idea, but wont work. Some people may have poll texting blocked though their carrier. And it would be unfair to the student that is embarrassed to stand up and say 'no I don't have a cell phone'. I have many friends here and Western that don't have cell phones.
